Nancy O'Dell's professional career started in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and reporter for news with WPDE-TV. Later, she was an anchor for morning news for WCBD TV and also as an investigative reporter. O'Dell's articles in Charleston concerning how Charleston police handled DUI cases with leniency resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division. The inquiry led to a stronger directive for state authorities. The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. O'Dell, after her stint working in Charleston reporting and co-anchor for NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station, before transferring into Access Hollywood where she is now a correspondent and co-anchor during weekends. Her current position as a host on Access Hollywood is complemented by the work she has done for NBC News Today, Dateline NBC and NBC News. She has reported on the events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards, as well co-hosting Pre ShowArrivals Shows at The Emmys.
